Remembering My Wife, Sindy: Her Faith, Her Love, and the Purpose We Carry Forward

By Harold Heard · September 16, 2026

On September 6, 2026, my wife, Sindy Patricia Heard, passed away.

It is difficult to write those words. It is harder still to understand all the ways her absence will be felt. She was my wife, my companion, and the woman beside me through so much of the life we built together. She was a loving mother whose care for our family cannot be measured by any single story or moment.

Many of you know me through business, technology, or the work I am advancing. Today, I want you to know more about Sindy, because understanding what she meant to our family also means understanding something important about me.

The heart of our family

Sindy brought love, conviction, and a deep sense of responsibility to our family. Being a wife and mother mattered profoundly to her. She cared about more than what we accomplished. She cared about who we were becoming, how we treated one another, and whether we were keeping God at the center of our lives.

She valued diligence, respect, peace, generosity, and kindness. Those were not simply good qualities to speak about. They were values she wanted reflected in the life of our family.

There is a kind of influence that rarely receives public recognition. It lives within a marriage and a home. It shapes decisions, steadies people through uncertainty, and helps a family remember what matters. Sindy’s influence on us was that deep.

I could write about what she meant to me as my wife, but I also want to honor what she meant to our family as a whole. Her love helped shape us. Her faith gave us something to hold onto. What she taught and the example she set remain part of us.

The faith she lived

Sindy was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Her faith was personal, sincere, and central to how she understood her life.

She believed God had purpose for us. She believed His guidance mattered, including when the path ahead was difficult to see. Her spiritual life was not separate from her responsibilities as a wife and mother. It informed them.

That faith also found expression in her writing. She wanted to encourage people facing hardship and remind them that they were not alone. She understood the importance of hope, especially when life became difficult.

As our family grieves, I do not want to suggest that faith makes losing her easy. It does not. I miss my wife. Our family misses her. There is no need to soften that truth.

But the hope we have in Jesus Christ is real, too. We can hurt deeply and still trust Him. We can have questions and still believe that Sindy is in His care.

What she wanted me to continue

There is something else I want to share with those who know me through my work.

Sindy did not want me to stop the things I am advancing. She believed that work was divinely guided, and she wanted it to continue.

That matters to me more than I can adequately express.

She saw purpose in what I am building. Her encouragement came from her faith and her belief that God was guiding the path before us. I share that conviction, and I intend to honor it.

I will continue.

That does not mean pretending I am unaffected or filling every quiet moment with work. I need time to grieve, and our family needs care and attention. Continuing will have to make room for both.

But I do not believe I have to choose between mourning Sindy and honoring the purpose she encouraged me to pursue. I will carry her love and her confidence in that calling into the work ahead.

To my colleagues, friends, and others walking alongside me, thank you for your patience as I find my footing. My commitment remains. I am simply learning how to move forward with an absence I never wanted to know.

Carrying her love forward

The most important part of Sindy’s legacy will not be found in anything I build professionally. It will be found in our family, in the faith we continue to practice, in the kindness we show, and in the way we care for one another.

I want to honor her there first.

This Scripture holds particular meaning as we remember her:

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

Isaiah 40:31

Thank you for keeping our family in your prayers. For those who knew Sindy, I hope you will continue to speak her name and share your memories of her. Those stories matter to us.

Sindy, thank you for loving our family, for standing beside me, and for the faith you brought into our lives. Thank you for believing in the purpose ahead, even through the difficulties we faced.

I love you. I miss you. And I will carry what you gave us into the life still before me.
